Theme: The Institution of the Eucharist — The Eternal Bread of Life

Introduction: During the Last Supper on the eve of His Passion, Jesus took bread and wine, transformed them into His Body and Blood, and gave them to His disciples. This was more than a farewell meal; it was a sign of Christ’s total self-offering to humanity. Whenever we celebrate the Mass, we commemorate the Lord’s death and resurrection, receiving this holy food that nourishes our souls.

Scripture: "Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.'" (Luke 22:19)

• Vivid Portrayal: Jesus sits at the center with a peaceful yet firm expression, surrounded by the Twelve Apostles whose varied emotions—surprise, reflection, and devotion—capture the tension and holiness of that night.

• Symbolism of the Table: The bread and cup on the table remind every believer approaching the altar that this is a timeless feast of life.

Spiritual Reflection: St. Thérèse held a profound love for the Eucharist, once saying, "I feel at the moment of Holy Communion as if I were in the very sanctuary of Jesus' Soul."
